Checklist 3: Analyzing Your Membership Numbers : Your business success depends on knowing your numbers. They can help you identify whether your customers love your product or not. Numbers allow you to find room for improvement and growth. Which is exactly why we created this checklist that will show you how to do a proper analysis of your membership site.
When you sign up for Shopify, your store has a free theme called Debut already installed on it. If you’re just starting out and on a tight budget, you can keep and make modifications to your free theme to make it look great. Of course, if you have a different vision for your store, you can choose a different theme. There are several other free Shopify themes to choose from, or you can go with one of the 61 paid themes. Here’s the ecommerce checklist for enhancing a theme:
First, from the product page, the Add to Cart button should be highly visible. Next, the shopping cart should be easy to locate—usually positioned in the sidebar, or the top-right. The checkout page should be super-easy to access, and never more than one click away, allowing a visitor to bypass the shopping cart if they want. Finally, the checkout fields should be logical, and kept to a minimum.

Product matching: in apparel, jewelry, and other specific types of product sales websites, offering a generalized “recommended products” in the lower part of the product detail page is often not enough. Consider setting up specific matches, for example, this pair of earrings goes well with that necklace. Think of it as the editorial content of the site that customers will appreciate, because you have taken the time to not only know your product, but give them direct guidance on what goes with what. If you don’t think this applies to you, think about it and see if there is something similar you can offer for your products, as it yet another way to increase per-order averages.
Special Unicode Characters in Data Validation Lists: ☐, ☑, ✓, ✔ - This may be my favorite approach. You can include special characters like this in a Data Validation drop-down list. This isn't quite as good as clicking once to fill in a checkbox, but it is great for the mobile Excel apps. The only hard part is remembering how to insert a check mark symbol in Excel. I already created a thank you email once they purchase which is the next step right after they buy but when I go to my product fulfillment page and look at the top menu steps that I have to follow and it includes the fulfillment email and I don't know what to do because I'm not sure if I have to enter the link (drop down options) at the bottom of that page with my TY page or is this another email just to confirm purchase? Also, when I do enter my TY page (bottom) and click save and continue, it asks me to enter subject and body or it won't save it…. What does that mean since my page is already created?
