Coaches who do not have access to an acceptable CPR/AED course or have taken a course that is not on this list can call their local American Red Cross chapter to challenge one of their Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED courses. The challenge involves passing the skills assessment with an ARC instructor without having to take the entire course. The ARC will charge a fee for each challenge. Call your local ARC chapter to set up a challenge.

2. Take a copy of the Online Content Only certificate to the pool to prove you have passed the online course. Complete the in-water skills session with the ARC instructor, who will issue a STSC In-Water Skills Session certificate. Send both certificates to your LSC registrar. The earlier of the two expiration dates will determine the STSC credential expiration date.
✓ Build an intelligent lead generation budget based on your lead and sales performance history. If you know your acquisition cost per sale, and which lead generation sources are producing these buyers and for how much, then budgeting is a simple matter of metrics. The problem for many franchisors is that multi-tracking of sales sources does require technology and management diligence. According to Franchise Update's 2013 Annual Franchise Development Report, more than one in three (35 percent) of franchisors still don't track their sales costs, and even more don't track their sales cost per media source. Those of you who do measure performance are saving money, increasing sales, and beating up on your competitors who don't.
✓ Media monitoring is a multi-sourcing task. Document all the marketing venues that push a buyer to your concept. Continually ask, "What source(s) prompted you to find out about our franchise opportunity?" on your initial inquiry forms, applications, at Discovery Day, and in training class. Credit four lead sources if a new franchisee initially saw your magazine ad, attended a trade show, read a success story about a franchisee, and then inquired online. Remember, the Internet is often the transmitter, not the originator, of a prospect inquiry.
Augusta National, which hosts the Masters Tournament this weekend, goes to extraordinary lengths to cloister its roughly 300 members, a group that includes some of the wealthiest, most powerful businessmen—and, as of 2012, women—in the world. Guests must be accompanied by members at all times. Autograph requests are forbidden. And in recent years, the club has acquired an estimated $55 million in real estate surrounding its courses, clubhouse and cabins, creating a bigger buffer zone to insulate its members, and to better control the Masters experience.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants announced that the June 2020 examination session has been cancelled. This covers all professional examinations, namely the Qualification Programme, Practising Certificate Examinations, and the Aptitude Tests. The next examination session will be December 2020. Further details will be announced closer to the start of the enrolment period.
This digital Take 5 safety checklist is designed to help mining workers and contractors minimize health and safety risks and hazards. It should take no longer than 5 minutes to complete. The checklist asks the user to confirm they have received training, are aware of safety processes and have actively identified hazards and risks. Complete the Take 5 by providing a digital signature.
USA Swimming’s background check requirement is designed to deter individuals who should not be working with athletes from ever applying for membership. Additionally, it serves to identify any unsuitable criminal history of those individuals who do apply for membership. Like previously mandated USA Swimming safety and education requirements, the background check program is another layer of protection for athletes in our sport.

It is important to emphasize that the purpose of this background check is to determine an individual’s eligibility for membership in USA Swimming based on the criteria stated in the program overview found at www.usaswimming.org/backgroundcheck. This check is not intended to serve as a pre‐employment background screening program. The background check process is a criminal record search and is not a substitute for a club conducting appropriate pre‐employment screening of applicants. It is a club’s responsibility to screen potential employees. Clubs should carefully check references and prior employers, and consider requiring additional information such as driving records, before making a hiring decision.
The math is pretty simple: the more members you have, the more money you’ll make in frontend membership fees as well as backend offers. That’s why you’ll want to make it a top priority to install a membership retention strategy that keeps members hooked, engaged and satisfied. So put this checklist to work for you from Day 1, and I think you’ll like what you see when you look at your bottom line!
Using qualification, you can reduce the length of the sales cycle. This is because when you qualify leads based on these questions, you have a complete know-how about the lead and his inclination towards your product. Through qualification you can filter cold leads easily and shorten your sales process by completely removing cold calling from the equation.
Another important question you need to ask is if their budget or revenue criterion matches the range for your product or service offering. If your product plays to the high end of the market and your lead’s budget is low, this just won’t work. So it is better to know the answer to this now rather than in the later stages once you’ve invested more time in the lead.
Short of time and looking at a quick checklist to ensure you are on the right track to a successful lead generation campaign? Over the years I have consulted for several startups and also deployed lead generation techniques that work. This is our own checklist of ideas and points we follow to either brainstorm and come up with more ideas with the rest of the team. Use this checklist in cases where you have started several campaigns and noticed the results or conversions are not coming through, or if the leads have suddenly stopped, then look also at ensuring you are up to date with newer strategies or techniques that are coming out to market.
Athlete Protection Training: All non-athlete members must complete the online Athlete Protection Training course annually. The core course takes approximately 90 minutes to complete and is offered at no charge. The renewal course, offered in alternate years, is about 45 minutes long. Go to www.usaswimming.org/apt for additional information and to access the course. When the course has been completed, the membership database is updated and the LSC is notified automatically.
IntelliCorp Records will conduct county searches in these counties for the name provided and one former last name. A search for an address in one of these counties is subject to an additional $65 fee per name for county criminal record searches. This is the actual fee charged for the search by New York. However, as a benefit to members, USA Swimming will subsidize this fee such that USA Swimming will pay $40 and members who are charged the additional fee(s) will pay only $25 per name that must be searched. This fee will be applied at the time the background check is ordered.
